Taarabt keen to punish Swansea again

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt is hoping he can continue the good form he has enjoyed against Swansea City in recent years.

The Welsh side have suffered at the hands of the 23-year old, who netted a brace against them during the 2010/11 Championship campaign before putting in a man-of-the-match display in a 3-0 home win last term.

Rangers will host the encounter at Loftus Road on Saturday and Taarabt is looking forward to the game.

I can t wait to get started and it s nice that we start with Swansea as I have a good record against them, Taarabt told the Daily Star.

I always seem to play well and score goals against them.

They must hate playing against me and will probably be sick of the sight of me. They do play very good football but that just seems to bring the best out of my game.

I m hoping I will be given a chance to play again and it s important we start well.

The playmaker recently signed a new three-year deal at Loftus Road despite being frequently linked with a move to big-spending French outfit Paris Saint-Germain.

After a busy transfer window for the west London club, Taarabt is now looking forward to a bright future with Mark Hughes side.

I think I have matured as a player and was happy to sign a new contract, he said. There have been a lot of new faces, with all the signings and these are some exciting times.

I want to be part of that. The club is getting bigger and bigger, with a new training ground and talk of a new stadium.

Last year our aim was to stay in the Premier League. We achieved that and now we want to progress and improve.
